Mattias have practised music since the age of 5. His parents early spotted his musicality and send him of to the best music schools in Sweden. Soon after finishing the school years he discovered the clubs and what was going on inside.
Mattias met the Salvation promoter Alex Erfan first time at Trade in London back in 1994.
He persuaded Mattias to start playing for Salvation soon after that he moved to the UK in 2000. Mattias was soon up in the DJ booth, expressing his “Afro-Scandinavian” background. You can recognise his sound as an eclectic mix of Funky, Electro, Progressive and Latin house. He’s got the capability to read the audience and take them on the journey they deserve.
He has been playing around in the UK as well as Europe:
Antwerp/Belgium (Red‘n Blue), Amsterdam (Escape), Paris (Queen), Barcelona (La Luna), Ibiza (Heaven), Prague/Czech (Mecca & Valentino), Malta (groove Gardens), Stockholm (Rio & Nalen), Malmö/Sweden (Wonk), Gothenburg/Sweden (Park Lane), Norway & Portugal.
He is also regularly playing at Barcode Soho as well as Barcode Vauxhall after rocking the newly built bar at its opening night. Currently resident at Salvation (UK/International) & Rage (Area/Vauxhall)
With a meaty musical education under the sleeve and a technically orientated mind, DJing naturally awakes Mattias’ producing/remixing instincts. He started collaborate with some of the other Salvation DJs remixing and mashing-up popular tracks, as well as writing new material. He has done many bootlegs and remixes putting a personal touch on his sound.
Some of you may have seen him sometime playing with his special DJ computer. Designed, developed and built by Mattias him self. Don’t be surprised if you find it on the shelves in your local music shop store soon.
